Yanni Spiro - Psychotherapist
I trained and worked as a Psychodynamic Couple and Individual Psychotherapist at Tavistock Relationships, formerly known as Tavistock Centre for Couples Relationships; an internationally renowned organisation in working with couples. I completed Online Therapy training (Tavistock Relationships). I also completed the Infant Observation module of the MA Psychoanalytic Couple Psychotherapy.
I believe it is important to balance the here-and-now with the conversation with the past, paying close attention to old material and repetitions which impact on our present. In this way we can consider the conscious and unconscious processes which are being manifested.
Our significant relationships impact on our well-being and sense of self. Psychotherapy will assist in our understanding of why we experience difficulties. Indeed, our most important relationship is with ourselves and in this existential move back to the self, we take ownership of our lives, making us more creative in all our relationships.
In my relationships with my clients I offer a safe and non-judgemental space along with a professional understanding in psychotherapy. I aim to help you reach a better understanding of yourself and your relationships while developing a more creative way of relating which allows room for lasting change.
I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP) and adhere to their code of ethics.
